Dr. Manuel Ignacio Vejarano Restrepo - LaserVision

Dr. Manuel Vejarano Restrepo is a surgeon graduated from the University of Cauca (Colombia), and graduated as ophthalmologist in Ophthalmological Foundation (Colombia), Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia). He completed his fellowship in refractive surgery and anterior segment, Vejarano Ophthalmological Foundation (Colombia) and then he traveled to Mexico where he made another minor in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the Association for Prevent Blindness in Mexico, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) .

Dr. Vejarano has made many overseas courses in which they are certified in Restor multifocal intraocular lenses, toric intraocular lenses alcon, Thinoptx for cataract surgery by micro incision, IRISAN and ICL to phakic intraocular lens implantation, and Intacs for keratoconus correction through stromal rings and different alternatives for the treatment of presbyopia (eyestrain) among others, and in the area of facial plastic (Oculoplastics) He has undertaken several courses as introduction of contour Russian threads, resurfacing obagi products, different types of peellings, Botox, Restylane and others.

Dr. Manuel Vejarano has participated in several conferences to update national and international level as ASCRS (USA), Pan American Congress of Ophthalmology (Mexico), and cataract surgery Congress refractita (Colombia), among others.

Today belongs to the Colombian Society of Ophthalmology, Colombian Society of Oculoplastic, Pan American Association of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).  

The Dr. Vejarano has a private practice in Vejarano Cosmetic & Laser Vision Center (Mexico) with a monthly average of 200 surgeries within those we can found phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation (IOL Implantation of the most modern) by Microphaco - coaxial, incisions of 2.2 mm + plasty surgery pterygium and conjunctival limbal cell transplant, Intacs intracorneal ring implantation, corneal crosslinking and refractive procedures such as LASIK, LASEK, Epi-LASIK, PRK, treatments for presbyopia (eyestrain), implementation procedures of phakic lenses and ophthalmic facial plastic surgery, among others

He has developed several scientific papers as author and co-author, and has pioneered several surgical techniques within those found myopic refractive correction in patients with high and abnormal corneas, sclera sutured intraocular lenses, Ultrachoper use in cataract, phakic toric lenses in cataracts, cataract uveltica management and facial rejuvenation surgery.
